Psalms 91
- 1He who lives in the secret place of the most High shall rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
- 2I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God. In him I will trust.
- 3Surely he shall deliver you from the snare of the bird catcher, and from the destroying plague.
- 4He shall cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you shall trust. His truth shall be your shield and your armor.
- 5You shall not be afraid for the terror by night, or for the arrow that flies by day.
- 6Or for the plague that walks in darkness, or for the destruction that lays waste at noon.
- 7A thousand shall fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand, but it shall not come near you.
- 8You will only watch with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.
- 9Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, even the most High, your dwelling place,
- 10There shall no evil befall you, neither shall any plague come near your dwelling.
- 11For he shall give his angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways.
- 12They will bear you up in their hands, so that you do not strike your foot against a stone.
- 13You shall tread on the lion and snake. You shall trample the young lion and the dragon under foot.
- 14Because he has set his love on me, therefore I will deliver him. I will set him on high, because he has known my name.
- 15He shall call on me, and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him, and honor him.
- 16With long life will I satisfy him, and show him my salvation.
