Psalms 122
- 1I was glad when they said to me, Let us go into the house of the Lord.
- 2Our feet shall stand within your gates, O Jerusalem.
- 3Jerusalem is built as a city that is joined together:
- 4Where the tribes go up, the tribes of the Lord, as Israel was commanded, to give thanks to the name of the Lord.
- 5For there are set thrones of judgment, the thrones of the house of David.
- 6Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love you.
- 7Peace be within your walls, and prosperity within your palaces.
- 8For my brothers and sisters and companions' sakes, I will now say, Peace be within you.
- 9Because of the house of the Lord our God I will seek your good.
