Psalms 7
- 1O Lord my God, in you do I put my trust: save me from all those who persecute me, and deliver me:
- 2Otherwise, he may tear my soul like a lion, ripping it apart with no one to rescue me.
- 3O Lord my God, if I have done this, if there is wrongdoing in my hands,
- 4If I have rewarded evil to him who was at peace with me (yes, I have delivered him who without cause is my enemy),
- 5Let the enemy persecute my soul, and take it. Yes, let him tread down my life on the earth, and lay my honor in the dust. Selah.
- 6Arise, O Lord, in your anger, lift up yourself because of the rage of my enemies: and awake for me to the judgment that you have commanded.
- 7So shall the assembly of the peoples gather around you. For their sakes therefore return you on high.
- 8The Lord shall judge the people: judge me, O Lord, according to my righteousness, and according to my integrity that is in me.
- 9Oh let the evil of the wicked come to an end, but establish the just. For the righteous God tries the hearts and innermost being.
- 10My defense is of God, which saves the upright in heart.
- 11God judges the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day.
- 12If he does not turn, he will sharpen his sword. He has bent his bow, and made it ready.
- 13He has also prepared for him the instruments of death, he makes his arrows ready against the persecutors.
- 14He labors with wrongdoing, and has conceived harm, and given birth to falsehood.
- 15He made a pit, and dug it, and has fallen into the ditch which he made.
- 16His harm shall return on his own head, and his violent dealing shall come down on his own skull.
- 17I will praise the Lord according to his righteousness: and will sing praise to the name of the Lord most high.
What changed from the KJV
GIGAKJV is a modern English revision of the King James Version. The comparison below uses the project's KJV text in the later 1769 tradition and marks, word by word, each verse of Psalms 7 where the wording differs: struck-through words are the KJV's, highlighted words are GIGAKJV's.
