Psalms 146
- 1Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord, O my soul.
- 2While I live will I praise the Lord: I will sing praises to my God while I have any being.
- 3Put not your trust in princes, or in the son of man, who has no help in him.
- 4His breath goes out, he returns to his earth, in that very day his thoughts perish.
- 5Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the Lord his God:
- 6Which made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that in it is: which keeps truth for ever:
- 7Which executes judgment for the oppressed: which gives food to the hungry. The Lord sets free the prisoners:
- 8The Lord opens the eyes of the blind: the Lord raises those who are bowed down: the Lord loves the righteous:
- 9The Lord preserves the foreigners, he relieves the orphan and widow: but the way of the wicked he turns upside down.
- 10The Lord shall reign for ever, even your God, O Zion, to all generations. Praise the Lord.
