Psalms 75

  1. 1To you, O God, do we give thanks, to you do we give thanks. For your wonderful works declare that your name is near.
  2. 2When I shall receive the congregation I will judge uprightly.
  3. 3The earth and all its people are dissolved: I bear up the pillars of it. Selah.
  4. 4I said to the fools, Do not deal foolishly: and to the wicked, Do not lift up the horn:
  5. 5Do not lift up your horn on high: do not speak with a stiff neck.
  6. 6For promotion comes not from the east, or from the west, or from the south.
  7. 7But God is the judge: he puts down one, and sets up another.
  8. 8For in the hand of the Lord there is a cup, and the wine is red. It is full of mixture. He pours out of the same: but its dregs, all the wicked of the earth shall wring them out, and drink them.
  9. 9But I will declare for ever. I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.
  10. 10All the horns of the wicked also I will cut off. But the horns of the righteous shall be lifted high.
