Psalms 28
- 1I will cry out to you, Lord my rock. Do not remain silent toward me. If you stay silent toward me, I will become like those who go down to the pit.
- 2Hear the voice of my prayers for mercy, when I cry to you, when I lift up my hands toward your holy inner room.
- 3Do not draw me away with the wicked, and with the evildoers, which speak peace to their neighbors, but harm is in their hearts.
- 4Give them according to their deeds, and according to the evil of their efforts: give them after the work of their hands, pay them back what they deserve.
- 5Because they do not regard the works of the Lord, or the operation of his hands, he shall destroy them, and not build them up.
- 6Blessed be the Lord, because he has heard the voice of my prayers for mercy.
- 7The Lord is my strength and my shield. My heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoices. With my song will I praise him.
- 8The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed.
- 9Save your people, and bless your inheritance: feed them also, and lift them up for ever.
What changed from the KJV
GIGAKJV is a modern English revision of the King James Version. The comparison below uses the project's KJV text in the later 1769 tradition and marks, word by word, each verse of Psalms 28 where the wording differs: struck-through words are the KJV's, highlighted words are GIGAKJV's.
