Psalms 142
- 1I cried to the Lord with my voice. With my voice to the Lord did I make my pleading.
- 2I poured out my complaint before him, I showed before him my trouble.
- 3When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, then you knew my path. In the way in which I walked have they secretly laid a snare for me.
- 4I looked on my right hand, and looked, but there was no man who would know me: refuge failed me, no man cared for my soul.
- 5I cried to you, O Lord: I said, You are my refuge and my portion in the land of the living.
- 6Attend to my cry. For I am brought very low: deliver me from my persecutors. For they are stronger than I.
- 7Bring my soul out of prison, that I may praise your name: the righteous shall gather around me. For you shall deal generously with me.
What changed from the KJV
GIGAKJV is a modern English revision of the King James Version. The comparison below uses the project's KJV text in the later 1769 tradition and marks, word by word, each verse of Psalms 142 where the wording differs: struck-through words are the KJV's, highlighted words are GIGAKJV's.
