Psalms 6
- 1O Lord, do not rebuke me in your anger, neither discipline me in your hot displeasure.
- 2Have mercy on me, O Lord. For I am weak: O Lord, heal me. For my bones are in agony.
- 3My soul is also deeply troubled: but you, O Lord, how long?
- 4Return, O Lord, deliver my soul: oh save me for your mercies' sake.
- 5For in death there is no remembrance of you: in the grave who shall give you thanks?
- 6I am weary with my groaning. All night I flood my bed, I water my couch with my tears.
- 7My eye is consumed because of grief, it grows old because of all my enemies.
- 8Go away from me, all you evildoers, for the Lord has heard the voice of my weeping.
- 9The Lord has heard my pleading. The Lord will receive my prayer.
- 10Let all my enemies be ashamed and deeply troubled: let them return and be ashamed suddenly.
What changed from the KJV
GIGAKJV is a modern English revision of the King James Version. The comparison below uses the project's KJV text in the later 1769 tradition and marks, word by word, each verse of Psalms 6 where the wording differs: struck-through words are the KJV's, highlighted words are GIGAKJV's.
