Luke 17
- 1Then he said to the disciples, Things that lead people into sin are bound to come, but disaster is coming to the person who brings them!
- 2It would be better for him to have a millstone hung around his neck and to be thrown into the sea than to cause one of these little ones to stumble.
- 3Be careful. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him.
- 4And if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turns again to you, saying, I repent, you shall forgive him.
- 5And the apostles said to the Lord, Increase our faith.
- 6And the Lord said, If you had faith as a grain of mustard seed, you might say to this sycamine tree, Be plucked up by the root, and be planted in the sea, and it should obey you.
- 7But which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle, will say to him immediately, when he has come from the field, Go and sit down to eat?
- 8And will he not rather say to him, Prepare what I may eat, and get dressed to serve me, till I have eaten and drunk, and afterward you shall eat and drink?
- 9Does he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I do not think so.
- 10So likewise you, when you have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants. We have done that which was our duty to do.
- 11As he went to Jerusalem, he passed through the middle of Samaria and Galilee.
- 12And as he entered into a village, ten men who were lepers met him, who stood far away.
- 13And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.
- 14And when he saw them, he said to them, Go show yourselves to the priests. And as they went, they were cleansed.
- 15And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,
- 16And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks. And he was a Samaritan.
- 17And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine?
- 18No others were found who returned to give glory to God, except this foreigner.
- 19And he said to him, Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you whole.
- 20And when he was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God does not come with observation.
- 21Neither shall they say, Look here! Or, Look there! For the kingdom of God is within you.
- 22And he said to the disciples, The days will come, when you shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and you shall not see it.
- 23And they shall say to you, See here, or, See there. Do not go after them, or follow them.
- 24For as the lightning that flashes out of the one part under heaven shines to the other part under heaven, so shall also the Son of man be in his day.
- 25But first he must suffer many things, and be rejected by this generation.
- 26And as it was in the days of Noah, so it shall be also in the days of the Son of man.
- 27They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
- 28Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot. They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built.
- 29But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and burning sulfur from heaven, and destroyed them all.
- 30Even so it shall be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.
- 31In that day, he who shall be on the rooftop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away. And he who is in the field, let him likewise not turn back.
- 32Remember Lot's wife.
- 33Whoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it, and whoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.
- 34I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed. The one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.
- 35Two women shall be grinding together. The one shall be taken, and the other left.
- 36Two men shall be in the field. The one shall be taken, and the other left.
- 37And they answered and said to him, Where, Lord? And he said to them, Wherever the body is, there will the eagles be gathered together.
