Titus 3
- 1Remind them to be subject to rulers and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work.
- 2To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but considerate, showing all gentleness to all men.
- 3For we ourselves also were once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various desires and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.
- 4But after that the kindness and love of God our Savior toward man appeared,
- 5Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of new birth, and renewing of the Holy Spirit.
- 6Which he poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior.
- 7That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
- 8This is a faithful saying, and I want you to keep affirming these things, that those who have believed in God might take care to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men.
- 9But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and quarrels, and struggles about the law, for they are unprofitable and vain.
- 10Reject a person who causes divisions after the first and second warning.
- 11Knowing that he who is such is subverted, and sins, being condemned of himself.
- 12When I shall send Artemas to you, or Tychicus, do your best to come to me to Nicopolis. For I have determined there to winter.
- 13Make every effort to send Zenas the lawyer and Apollos on their way, that nothing be lacking to them.
- 14And let our people also learn to devote themselves to good works that meet necessary needs, so that they are not unfruitful.
- 15All that are with me greet you. Greet those who love us in the faith. Grace be with you all. Amen.
